Fuentes científicas confirman que la supuesta "bola de fuego" que es dejó ver la noche del pasado jueves en el estado de Australia del Sur, provocando dos fuertes explosiones, era un meteorito.
Un meteorito cruza el cielo de Australia provocando dos fuertes explosiones a su paso "Esto es lo que se desprende de las descripciones ofrecidas por los testigos", señaló Chris Tinniy, astrónomo del Telescopio Anglo-Australiano. Sin embargo, de momento se desconoce si las explosiones que acompañaron al juego de luces "fueron provocadas por el contacto del meteorito con la atmósfera, por su rotura en pequeñas partes o tras estrellarse en algún lugar del país", explicó el experto. En todo caso, Tinniy recalcó que "primero será necesario buscar los restos del meteorito y, en el caso de que llegara a hacer impacto terrestre, descubrir si alguien consiguió grabar las imágenes con un vídeo doméstico". Durante la noche del jueves, la policía del estado de Australia del Sur recibió numerosas llamadas de ciudadanos que observaron "una enorme bola de fuego acercándose desde el cielo", seguida de una espesa humareda y de dos estruendos separados. Tinniy indicó que los que pudieron observar la trayectoria de la 'bola de fuego de Adelaida' tuvieron mucha suerte, ya que no es común que un meteorito de semejante tamaño pueda ser observado en áreas pobladas.
Anoche me avisaron que pusiera la tv y dieron esta noticia. La pobre gente ya veia la onda expansiva pasar por sus casas xDD
Pero con la tecnología de nuestros es dificil que caiga un meteorito sin un previo aviso, aunque si ocurriera sería muy sorprendente. Ya me imagino diciendo: "Hoy me vine más temprano, porque un meteorito destruyo las calles..." xDDDDD
